One man's trade, grown into a workshop

Mateen Auto is a body repair and car care workshop in Lahore. The work goes back to 1989, and the shop has been here since 2008.

Mr. Nadeem started in automotive repair in 1989. He spent years learning the trade properly, worked in the United States and Dubai, and brought those standards home when he set up in Lahore in 2008.

His time in Dubai also brought professional certificates associated with MG and Audi — training in how modern panels, paints and finishing systems are meant to be handled.

Decades of hand skill, working to the standards he was trained to abroad. That is the whole idea behind this workshop.

Everything today runs on the same footing: skilled workmanship, a proper finish, and a customer who leaves knowing exactly what was done to their car. Two branches in Lahore now handle denting, painting, accident repair, protection and detailing under one roof.

What we are known for

Scratch filling

Scratch repair is the work Mateen Auto built its name on. It is slow, unglamorous and almost entirely about preparation — which is exactly why so few shops get it right.

Read the scratch first

How deep it goes decides everything. Clear coat, base coat or down to primer — each one is a different repair.

Prepare the surface

The area is cleaned, flattened and feathered out so the repair has nothing to grip badly onto.

Fill and level

Filled in stages and levelled until running a hand across it tells you nothing.

Match, blend, finish

Your shade mixed, blended into the neighbouring panel, then cut and polished so the repair disappears.

3M compound & polish

Machine cut and polish that lifts oxidation, swirls and wash marks, and puts the depth back.

Angles set back to specification so the car tracks straight and the tyres stop wearing unevenly.
